Strong Performance by Young Talents at the FIDE Rapid Chess Tournament in Rosenheim

On October 19, 2025, the FIDE Rapid Chess Tournament in Rosenheim brought together a wide range of players — from experienced titled masters to ambitious young talents. Among the participants were two young competitors, David (8) and Daniel (6), who both delivered remarkable performances.

David competed in Open A, facing significantly older and more experienced opponents, including two International Masters (IMs), one FIDE Master (FM), and one Woman Candidate Master (WCM). Despite the strong field, David scored 3 points out of 7 games, securing 1st place in the U14 category — an outstanding achievement for his age.

His younger brother, Daniel, took part in Open B, showing great composure and strategic understanding throughout the event. With 3 points out of 7 games, Daniel also achieved 1st place in the U8 category, proving that chess talent runs in the family.

Both brothers demonstrated impressive focus, fighting spirit, and enthusiasm for the game, gaining valuable experience against seasoned opponents. Their success at the Rosenheim tournament marks another important step in their chess development.
